The Haptic is about evidence. It is about evidence of touch, the touch of skin to copper, and copper to paper, a twice removed touch that is primed for dissection, for understanding by the consciousness which is housed by the skin. The parts of the body that are selected for these moments of touch are parts that reveal the structure that is beneath, areas of connection and movement, joints, bones and tendons, that are then solidified in print. These are points of the body that are concentrated with bundles of nerve endings. The body and mind are united with touch, and the evidence of that touch.
