Mythos: Ex Nihilo Comes the Decent
Speaking from personal understandings that tie into a broader spectrum of the common experience, I hope to speak to my viewers about the difficulties of life that we face everyday, yet usually ignore. By making repetitive images that hold the viewer spellbound in their beauty, they are forced to see what the image is really telling them and acknowledge the existence of the issues presented within their hidden repulsion. Through these images I have explored the seedy actions of the past in which bodily parts are exposed and examined, people are beaten and others beat themselves; things that are cherished are desecrated, and stolen myths are transformed.
