nexus​ / an animated film set in an ambiguous future, nexus​ follows Vi, a girl from the outer limits of the vast, sprawling city she calls home. Through newfound powers that let her traverse the city outside of its rigid systems of control, Vi poses a challenge to Dolores, the power that controls the city. Vi finds herself drawn to Dolores’ home and center of control at the heart of the city’s grid, and on the way sees that things are not as they seem – and that her power means more than she knew. When she confronts Dolores face to face, she has to make a choice – to give up her powers and continue under Dolores’ control, or to make a step towards an uncertain future. The city will never be the same.
