“Lagoon Girls” is a series of three, 4-inch art toys. My primary audience is young kids, but I would like to simultaneously appeal to an adult collector market in the style of art toys. The characters in the series are three young girls – Mertle, Hiro, and Grisel – and each girl is based on a mythological creature. I’d like to use the concept of monsters to represent not just nonconformity, but the power in nonconformity, and also as a cool and fun basis for unique designs for girl characters in kids’ products.
