My thesis comic is set in Celbareii, a land divided into three countries run by werewolves, vampires, and humans; none of which know how to get along and are always teetering the line of friend and foe.The narrative follows Ember, a human ex-slave from Ceritann, as she makes her escape from a military excursion by fleeing into cursed woods in enemy territory. It’s here she will meet Ash and other key characters who will change her world view, and together they hope to change the world around them for the better.

As it will be animated, this comic will live on the web where it most benefits from the separation from the traditional confines of a physical page. Some pages may be long and made of multiple panels while others may only be a single image. As an animated webcomic, certain elements within the comic will be given movement, enough to let the images breathe rather than remain stagnant. Precipitation, fire, steam, and occasionally eyes will all be minimally animated to create a feeling of active living.
