Space Available
Space Available is a site-specific installation exploring my shifting sense of self and how I navigate interior living spaces in order to feel comfortable. It is human nature to decorate the places we inhabit and in order to claim them, we use personal possessions as placeholders that act as extensions of ourselves. This project is about learning how to take up space and attempting to make my mark without the decorative armor of personal possessions. It displays and encapsulates a self that lived within the space over the last year, demonstrating how I felt during that time both as a human being and as a woman in my body.
