Eat Trash Be Free
Eat Trash Be Free is a series of illustrations depicting urban wildlife as it intersects with human landscapes. The paintings deal with the themes of wild animals’ interactions with, and proximity to, humans and how both worlds overlap, the spaces created that are shared, sometimes uneasily so, and the tensions that arise from the interactions.
My intention is to point out and raise awareness to around the wildlife that is often missed in the urban landscape, and create a conversation discussing their varied interactions with humans, and the complexity of the relationships between the two groups. Therefore, my intended audience would be people living in these kinds of overlapping worlds, where nature and the city are pushing against each other.
