A Wretch Like Me: A Look Into Queer Racism gives context to the body of work A Wretch Like Me as well as stands alone as an analysis of racism in queer spaces. More specifically, the paper looks into the pervasiveness of racism and how it affects relationships amongst racial and sexual minorities. Using the model of intersecting oppressions, personal testimony and personal context this paper demonstrates how a black individual with multiple facets of identity gets feedback from outside sources about themselves (i.e society and culture) and how those messages affect their self-concept.
