Pure Clear: Towards a Philosophy of Strangeness
This thesis will argue that strangeness is a constant quality of all objects. Strangeness suggests that objects of all types are more complex than they may ever appear sensually. Utilizing Gramm Harman’s ideas on objects, Timothy Norton’s idea “the ecological thought,” and Manuel DeLanda’s ideas about geology, I will discuss an array of examples examining a world where everything is strange, and the implications of such thinking.
