Communication is a puzzle consisting of many different pieces, but once these pieces fit together can we see the whole any clearer? This paper explores the dynamics of a hybrid communication system created within the realm of a horror movie to examine functions of gesture, color, atmospheric sound, and exempt from all verbal language. In this realm of horror I can begin to narrow in on a specific environment that allows the lens to focus on elements of communication beyond the structure of language; gesture, color, and atmospheric sounds. Here I attempt to explore how an honest, instinctual communication system functions while employing the models of predator and prey that are embedded within all of us.
