Elizabeth Armstrong BFA Thesis Fall 2011
Reevaluating Failure; An Investigation
My visual thesis project is manifested as an accumulation of trying to hand carve perfect spheres out of foam. The intention of this process-driven practice is to reevaluate my ideas of failure, and to engage in futility to challenge my ideas of perfection and production. The ultimate intention of this work is to exaggerate the experience of feeling like I need to be perfect, by highlighting the absurdity of such a goal.
