The purpose of this project is to reflect on my first career as a carpenter and find the links to fine art, specifically printmaking. My work depicts the emotional responses to carpentry during a career in residential home building and remodels. This includes my history and specific art movements that relate to the construction trades. Doing this project has helped me make the transition from a carpenter to a skilled printmaker. By linking these two skilled trades I can begin to see how they have impacted my life in profound ways.
