PNCA celebrated the 150th anniversary of Walt Whitman’s 1860 edition of Leaves of Grass with a public reading of Whitman’s masterpiece “Song of Myself.” With 52 readers for the 52 sections, the purpose of the evening was “to chant electrically, to boogie, and to unscrew the doors from their jambs. To raise spirits, give heart, and remind ourselves of Whitman’s enduring and inspiring global reach.”
