This tableware setting was heavily inspired by my Oregon environment, specifically by Eastern Oregon. My fascination in the area grew by the several trips I have taken to Baker, Enterprise, and Joseph. Being a PNW native, I had a desire to travel to the desert, a place I did not so much recognize as being apart of Oregon, but in fact makes up 45% of its land mass. The sheer vastness of these areas filled my head and my hands. I had to make something to memorialize my first interactions with the far east tip of Oregon in the way I know best. This project is my best attempt at sharing Eastern Oregon with my viewer, my home, and my brand through the gaze of Hand & Fire.
