Beyond the Static Landscape is a set of two videos. Each video is an illustrated side-scrolling landscape, depicting forests and deserts. The forest video is inspired by the Boise National Forest and the Oregon coast. The desert video has a road trip quality, starting in Idaho/Oregon and heading south to Mexico. Each video has a simple composed ambient track to add to their immersion. My goal with these pieces was to take the depth of traditional landscape compositions and elevate it by using digital and animation techniques.
