“Me Through You” is a hybrid animated short film exploring the repercussions of ingesting negative portrayals of the middle east, and how it effects a young Muslim girl’s sense of racial identity. The film is a mix of stop motion and digital 2d animation. The story is inspired by personal experience growing up in America as an Arab Muslim, and learning to hate my Arab identity in my youth. The film is part of my process to unlearn and undo the damage of my youth and to reclaim my Arab identity
