On the Pebbles to Home
‘Making from within the infrastructure of ‘home’, I learn to not follow the physical structure of a ‘home’ but rather the collective memories that furnish it. Taking apart memories and moments in life to capture their essence, learning it and translating it with ceramics material, then applying my knowledge in the final pieces.’
On the Pebbles to Home is a project is a way to investigate the reality of ‘home’ through finding the paradox between two processes of ‘making home’ and ‘making objects’ The idea is not to find the destination but to show the path , showcasing three parts in tangent with each other as a guide. Each part is separated, but structured in a way that features the changes, from the initial test to final production, and how these project evolved throughout time ‘The Back, The Wall, and The Bed’ walks you through how I adapt the materiality and then letting go off my restriction with them, allowing the final products to be more loose and abstracted. This is a way to feature how ‘home’ is not made by forcing it to any ideal expectation, but it is about co-exist with the environment to gain familiarity and comfort.
