God’s Hand takes place in an alternate dimension called Canari City that is accessible only by invitation from the inside; once invited, the player competes in the tournament called “God’s Hand” against a power hierarchy of non-playable characters. However, they must watch their backs in the regular city as well, as enemies can spawn and fight them. These enemies range from jealous competitors to outright factions. Since the player competes using a team of physically manifested sins, or virtues, there is a tribalistic force in the city to pick a side.
