The Philip Feldman Gallery + Project Space presents an exhibition of Cassadra C. Jones’ work in the Project Space.

Cassandra C. Jones is a New York-based artist who works in the same vein as Eadweard Muybridge in the sense of motion studies and current and emergent technologies and techniques. Jones’ primary source of images are found on the Internet. She then combines the images into collaged works, videos and wallpaper installations.

“I consider my laptop and wherever I can find a WiFi signal to be my main studio. Everything I make starts there, searching for and collecting thousands of other peoples snapshot photos from eBay, public domain archives and every image exchange known to Google. I compile these photographs together in groups of like subject matter, from lightning bolts to every possible increment of a horses gallop. I then organize each lot in various ways [via video, print or installation] that tell stories about human observation and the power of photographic imagery in our snap-happy contemporary lifestyle.”
