My work stems primarily from the idea of intimacy. Using concepts of space defined by cultural identity and personality of both the perceiver and maker, I have made a body of work that serves to exist as a place outside of all places. With this sculptural installation, I have recreated a mental reverie of a home that contained the entirety of my cultural identity and shaped my ideas of how heritage and culture are manifested in my hybrid Polish-American self.
