Lee Kelly

PCVA Oral History Project

The Oral History Project was sponsored by the former Portland Center for the Visual Arts. Developed to introduce contemporary Portland artists to the world at large, as well as to the artists’ communities, somewhat informal interviews were conducted with a number of Portland artists including, but not limited to, many PNCA faculty members.

This interview was conducted in December of 1978 with Lee Kelly. Kelly is a prominent artist whose large steel sculptures can be seen throughout Portland, the Pacific Northwest and the country. He is an almnus of PNCA, from when it was still called The Museum Art School. He has also taught at PNCA.

The slides and ephemera making up this collection are housed in the PNCA Library Archive.
