Wig Area was a performance where I stood on a busy street corner
and asked people to talk candidly with me about specific gender
stereotypes they hated while we both wore wigs. The use of wigs
made humor available to the participant and myself, and hard
conversation easier to enter in to. I noticed that we both seemed to
learn a lot about each other and ourselves as we conversed.
