Functional Objects

A guerrilla public seat crafted for personal use was intended to demonstrate agency within public space and to show unexpected uses for readily-available, common materials. This seat can be attached anywhere three supports are available. Because of this limiting environmental constraint, the function is fundamentally constrained. The Triangle Hammock is crocheted from nylon paracord and uses carabiners and simple knots in installation.

Installed at Alberta Park, Portland, Oregon.
