Since the beginning of the MFA Print Media program, I started this sketchbook project as a means to ensure that I could always create work even if my mobility wasn’t the best on any given day. I’d choose a sketchbook to work in every month, and work in it daily, with the end goal being that the sketchbook would be entirely filled up by the end of the month. There are 21 sketchbooks in total, one for each month of the program. On the back inside cover of every sketchbook there is a log of how many pages I finished each day, to help hold myself accountable; if I forget to work in the sketchbook one day, I would log that as well. Every page is time stamped with the date, and the time the page was completed as well. I used ink, various pens, pencil, paint, relief ink, and gathered materials in these books.
