“footnotes,” part of Ashley’s current /ˈpro͞oviNG ˌɡround[s]/ series, is a multimedia installation that consists of “elevated” footnotes conjured from critical autotheoretical musings printed on charmeuse, georgette and linen; single channel videos with spoken word and bluegrass music; curated stories, songs and archives including a book, bright leaf tobacco leaves and a ghostlike photograph printed on chiffon; and discarded and disrupted footnotes, historical newspaper articles and archives.

“It Did Happen Here” is a podcast produced by Mic Crenshaw, Celina Flores and Erin Yanke “that interrogates Oregon’s white supremacist history” and “chronicles how immigrants, civil rights activists, and militant youth…ran white supremacist street gangs out of Portland.”
