One of three “self-animating images” I made for this project. The two images, when layered on top of each other, give the illusion of movement as the flickering lights behind the paper flicker on and off. This technique was inspired by cave paintings which utilized a similar technique. This one is of a creature that looks canine, runs on all fours, and has highly developed front paws that look remarkably similar to hands.
