This installation intended to create an awareness to the characteristics of room 117a and the similarities these characteristics have with a viewer, through the usage of fluorescent lights (representing primary colors). The dialogue between viewer, installation, and room 117a intended to heighten the immaterial relationship (light and color) and community 117a. Everything in this space is interacting with one another through light, as the viewer moves throughout the space the spectrum of color shifts.
Subtitles such as the asymmetry of the room (represented in water) and industrial characteristics were heightened with the light and water vitrines. This was less about the tension between these two entities and more so how opposites (exposed electricity and water) converge creating a perceptual phenomenon.
