Moderated by Irene Kotlarz, founding director of Platform International Animation Festival, “Beyond the Box: Animated Installation and Community” features a roster of influential animation artists who’ve taken their work beyond the screen and out into the community, redefining how animation interacts in the public sphere.
Boundary Crossings: An Institute for Contemporary Animated Arts at PNCA featured a range of public programs featuring internationally recognized animation scholars Prof. Dr. Suzanne Buchan, Paul Vester and Paul Wells, led by PNCA Intermedia Faculty and artist Rose Bond. July 13 – 24, 2009. Boundary Crossings was made possible in part by PNCA+FIVE.
