Notes or Bio
Born in Kenosha, WI and working in Portland OR, Kate Bingaman-Burt is perhaps best known for her series “Obsessive Consumption.” The series examines consumption, debt, and consumerism through a series of daily drawings illustrating the artist’s purchases.
She has been involved with a number of other projects related to the Museum of Contemporary Craft, including Handmade Nation and the exhibit Collateral Matters, which she and husband Clifton Burt co-curated using materials from the museum’s archives.
