The Shape of the Problem

The Elizabeth Leach Gallery is proud to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a series of exhibitions. Launched in 1981, the gallery has focused on presenting prominent Northwest and internationally established artists working in a wide variety of contemporary media, bolstering a dynamic dialogue between the local community and the global art world. Throughout 2011 the gallery will present a series of exhibitions exploring these relationships, from both an historical perspective, and with an eye toward the future.

In conjunction with the Elizabeth Leach Gallery, PNCA’s Feldman Gallery + Project space presents work by predominately regional artists, representing the gallery’s longtime engagement with the local community. The exhibition features work by Lee Kelly, John Baldessari, Christine Bourdette, Amanda Briggs, Bonnie Bronson, Robert Calvo, Fernanda D’Agostino, Drake Deknatel, Justin Gibbens, MK Guth, Robert Hanson, Sean Healy, Chris Johanson, Kristen Kennedy, Michael Lazarus, Matt McCormick, Ryan Pierce, Christopher Rauschenberg, Mark R. Smith, Barbara Sternberger, Joe Thurston and Hap Tivey.

An opening reception will be held on August 6 from 5:30–7:30 pm.
