Converge 45 : YOU IN MIND

Converge 45 presents its second year of programming under the direction of Inaugural Guest Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds, Executive and Artistic Director at the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA. Edmunds’ curatorial framework for Converge 45: YOU IN MIND, brings artists, curators, collectors, and the general public to the Northwest with the goal of engaging in critical conversations.

Building upon Converge 45’s Artists’ Congress, which in 2016 brought together 21 artists from across the US to participate in three days of candid conversation, Kristy Edmunds presents new and existing works by these artists and more to present exhibitions in Portland.

CCA&C at PNCA will feature an exhibition of work by participating artists Tannaz Farsi, Stephen Hayes, Jim Hodges, Chris Johanson, Catherine Opie, Claire Pentecost, Storm Tharp, and Sharita Towne.

Converge 45 is a curatorial-driven arts platform that engages audiences and artists in Portland, OR. This year’s program encompasses museum and gallery exhibitions, site-specific installations, panel discussions, and events. Four-days of extended programming will be held August 9–12, 2017 offering a special chance to experience the events alongside participating artists and Kristy Edmunds.
