Intermation

The Philip Feldman Gallery + Project Space at Pacific Northwest College of Art is pleased to feature Intermation, an exhibition of animated works that coincides with Boundary Crossings: an Institute in Contemporary Animated Arts.

The exhibition examines the relationship between the animated image and the screen and proposes new utility between or among the traditional apparatus of animation. To reinforce the interdisciplinary nature of PNCA’s Boundary Crossings: an Institute in Contemporary Animated Arts, Intermation includes an assortment of techniques for achieving motion, from Cassandra C. Jones’ more traditional use of still photography, to Marieke Verbiesen, who mixes the physical with the digital in interactive installations based on the mechanisms of video games.

Intermation includes works by Jacob Ciocci, Cassandra C. Jones and Marieke Verbiesen.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 7, from 6–8 pm.
