The class of 2011-12 was honored at the 2012 commencement at Tiffany Center with a ceremony that included an address by Congressman Earl Blumenauer. The progressive representative of Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District has worked tirelessly on issues such as transportation, planning, and the environment. He represents, as do the graduates, the limitless possibilities of a potent combination of vision, hard work, and collaboration.
The graduates represented BFA, MFA in Visual Studies and MFA in Applied Craft and Design. PNCA awarded a Doctor of Art Honoris Causa degree to long-time supporter and philanthropist of the College Dorothy Lemelson at this year’s commencement ceremony.
The ceremony took place on May 20, 2012 at the Tiffany Center, Portland, Oregon. The ceremony was followed by receptions at PNCA for both the BFA and MFA in Visual Studies thesis exhibitions.
