Born in Reykjavik and educated at Pratt in New York, Hildur Bjarnadottir’s work with traditional textiles examines her Icelandic heritage through the lens of contemporary art. Her work was included in the exhibits “Contemporary Skeins” and “New Embroidery: Not Your Grandma’s Doily,” has been featured in solo shows across the US and Iceland, and has been collected by the National Gallery of Iceland.
