A wish is also a secret. One that seems distant and unachievable by any means other than the universe intervening. It is desperately trying to manifest, with the hope that even if it is invisible, subtle, that something is listening. I’m interested in how objects and media often serve answers to a dysphoric concept of self and contribute to understanding the interactions and intimacy that they create. A shape repeated. A protective charm. Through this formal inquiry and the work that accompanies it, I hope to draw attention to the importance of belonging and the fallacies of the systems that limit the ways in which one can belong.
