Monster Couture

Monster Couture is an idea that I had during my freshman year here at PNCA. Combining a love of both classic movie monsters and high fashion, the posters that I produced were intended to promote ideas of identity and how they relate to the trappings of “high society.” I also used a number of different methods for realizing the images, exploring the possibilities in creating an image through both hand made and computerized means. To move this project in a fresh direction, the end result would be a series of paintings portraying five classic movie monsters dressed in modern haute couture. I would also like to explore the idea of expanding into the commercial arena by producing packaging and a 3d print of one of the characters.
