Entwined Perception

Light is a favorable method of illuminating the qualities and limits of visual perception. Light as an archetype functions as an ontological understanding, as archetypes speak directly to the imagining of the soul in images. These images are metaphors that allow for a communication that is not so limited in scope, but rather speaks to us in many ways, through vision and through invoking the body, feelings, triggering memories and dreams. In noticing the light outside of us we can perceive the light within us. In doing so, we can realize that there isn’t much difference between what is outside of ourselves and what is inside. The soul, that which manifests visual perception, encompasses the sublime power of light.
