Fringe Merger functions as an informational interface and as a visual typology of touchstones for outlining my cultural heritage. In creating this space, I am interested in drawing on various symbolic lexicons to build an interdisciplinary space that emphasizes learning through research, making, design, and display. This allows me to focus on my relationship to Poland and Mexico as the home countries of my parents and my struggle to find a conclusive manner of defining that relationship in terms of my own embodiment of it. It also affords me manners of reconciling an internalized cross-cultural adaptation with eternal threads and parallels.
