The thesis work in the portfolio is a visual expression of what secession in America could look like. The 3 parts to this portfolio include a Thesis Paper, and 2 artworks. These two pieces: Untitled(Secession Maps) and Untitled(Wall:Declaration of Independence) work off each other, as differing iterations of the idea of contemporary secession in America. These two pieces co-exist and balance each other out, even in basic terms of black and white appearances.
