Eric Trine MFA Applied Craft & Design Thesis Spring 2013

#Craft

My process in the development are primarily about two modes of exchange. The exchange first happens with me and the materials, where instead of draw and think and draw and think, I to just create. The decisions manifest through the process of making. My choices were revealed through the actions of my hands on the material — I made the object I wanted to see. I’d take the object from imagination and calling it into being through the transformation of material.

The second is the exchange of a finished piece with the audience. In my practice, I engage my audience through real life and social media. I acknowledge social media as a huge part of my practice.
