My thesis work has taken form in an interactive installation entitled, FORUM. Using political aesthetics, I created a series of interactive objects that engage the viewer and ask them to consider their knowledge and opinions regarding politics, people, and themselves. I also spend two days a week in the space for two hours to talk to people about the work and any thoughts they may have about its effectiveness of the overall experience in comparison with my goals.
This space was designed with objects that invite people to interact and engage in conversations about politics and humanization. Over the 1 month install I would engage people in the space and, based on those interactions, make alterations to the work. Th
People were invited to match facts with the presidential candidate by placing the fact in a corresponding basket on either side of the face(s).
This is the installation at the end of the month after changes were made and interactions were catalogued.
At the end of the installation I rolled up the mylar to present the evidence of human interaction.
