The MFA in Applied Craft and Design host the owners of Heath Ceramics for a public lecture as part of the 2010-2011 Graduate Visiting Artist Lecture Series. This lecture took place March 10, 2011 at the MFA AC&D Studios at the Bison Building.

In 2003, husband and wife team Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey purchased Heath Ceramics, one of the few remaining mid-century American potteries still in existence today. Their mission was to revitalize the company. Since purchasing the company, Heath Ceramics has been a finalist in 2009 for the Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards and is featured in the permanent collections of prestigious cultural institutions such as MOMA and LACMA.
