The things we love and surround ourselves with are true reflections of our identity. All objects carry meaning and this thesis explores the conflicting meaning that is created when still life, printed fabric, and pop imagery are all placed within one painting. Still life, printed fabric, and pop imagery all carry a spectrum of meaning that move away from ambiguity towards personal, broad, and specific meanings. Ambiguity allows us to understand that meaning is never fixed and draws our attention inward to investigate our own conditioning that allows us to make meaning.
