The Enigmatic Suffering of Objects

My work challenges our assumptions of utilitarian objects of art and their use by presenting them in a gallery-like context. The work also supports the investigation of the art objects’ primary function as agency, rather than containing an internal language, or relying solely on aesthetic qualities. The work finds its history within artists such as Marcel Duchamp, and Rene Magritte as well as contemporary artists such as Tom Friedman and Martin Creed.
