White Noise: A Personal History of Assimilation

The video installation consists of a recognizable domestic space, partitioned into vignettes that symbolize a television in every “room” of the space: a bedroom, foyer, kitchen and living room. The central focus of the gallery is a video on a large TV set in the space signifying a living room. This television shows three videos representing the images of the artist’s cultural assimilation. The three other TVs show edited episodes from the TV show “The Rifleman.”
