The Surf at the End of the World is Going to be Epic
The sculptures, paintings, and narratives I have created examine humanity’s effect on the landscape and how the then affected landscape affects humanity. A gaping rift has been growing between human beings and their land base since the dawn of civilization and I have become afraid that this divide will swallow up mankind and all of its achievements. Because of the enormity of the disconnection I have made work out of the need to share these fears with others.
The works themselves, as well as the relationships between them, illustrate the landscapes most constant and promising qualities: change, time, and water.
