Dominic De Venuta BFA Thesis Spring 2011
Drawn Obsessively
Drawn Obsessively as a body of work expresses, through visual narrative, my experience of being a neurotic. This thesis paper focuses on my thought process and research to create my work. Reflecting on my past experiences in the California education system, and my early exposure to grotesque artists like Bill Wray and Albrecht Durer, I discovered the origin of my visual language. Drawn Obsessively as a thesis paper discusses the power of image and the importance of artistic expression. This work helps me find understanding of who I am and why I create art to share my neuroses with society.
