The alchemical journey guides us into the path of transmutation. Through these prints, I engage in the act of storytelling and myth-making. Abuse and trauma transform us into the monstrous other; printmaking reflects and aids the alchemical journey as it puts us in the position of the abject and allows us to deal with the alienation caused by abuse. In this illustrated anthology, I use myself as materia prima to allow myself to heal and regain autonomy. This series is a work in progress as me and my work continue to grow alongside each other. Through myth, this project aims to create a space for empathy.
