Two of the most important spreads from each book: the ones that discuss family. The one on the left is my childhood scrapbook made way back when, open to the spread about my family and our holiday celebrations. The book on the right is the new scrapbook, fully handmade open to the spread about my family but more specifically my parents. How to take care of myself, how relationships work, how to take care of others, etc. I carry a photo of my mother and I in my wallet so I juxtaposed this poem with that photo, something I carry around with me always and in my heart if not physically. The table has various photographs scattered around, some were included in the book and some are new. These all further reflect the mood and the aura of the book.
