Through the events of the story of a recent event that he recounts to his therapist, he ends up confronting his own negative actions in order to start to move past his own mental roadblocks. Through taking the step past his issues in order to protect another person whom he can see a reflection of his past self in, the main character grows emotionally and unlocks a hidden power that he didn’t know he possessed, becoming a hero instead of remaining a bystander. This film is ultimately about mental health, personal growth, and superheroes. It’s about letting others help you when you need it, as well as helping them in return and knowing when to help yourself.
